This course reinforces the importance of food safety and is designed to provide food handlers with an understanding of their legal responsibilities. It provides up to date information on best practice in regards to controlling food safety hazards, temperature control, food storage, food preparation and cross contamination, personal hygiene and premises hygiene. The course is 6 hours duration with a multiple choice test and comprises of power point presentations and workshop style activities in a classroom style environment. Who is this course for? •All food handlers preparing or cooking food for consumers. •Businesses looking to provide staff with an understanding of their legal responsibilities. •Anyone wishing to refresh previously learned skills and knowledge On successful completion of the course you will be provided with a certificate. This certificate does not have an expiry date. However, based on industry best practice guidelines, the recommended renewal period for this training is 3 years.
