After receiving one of the final Queens Award for Voluntary Service (the MBE for voluntary groups) before Her Majesty passed away, the voluntary directors from A Safe Space to be Me became some of the first to receive Honours from King Charles iii in his first New Years Honours list.
The ladies, Ms. Siobhain Murphy BEM & Ms. Carolyn Tailford BEM were absolutely astounded when when they got word that they were to receive the honours in early December and admit it was a very hard secret to keep. Both are absolutely delighted and honoured and looking forward to their investiture ceremonies in March of this year at Hillsborough Castle.
