(T36) OCN Level 3 Working Therapeutically With Children &Young People

This new and exciting 2 day course, delivered by our resident child therapists, will provide the fundamentals for any trainee therapist or qualified professionals (such as teachers, classroom assistants, support workers ect) to work safely and ethically with young people whilst out in a supervising agency.

This course is also suitable for anyone interested in making a difference in a child's life on a personal level also.

This course is a precursor to our level 5 post qualifying diploma in counselling children and young people.

Carrying out an assessment with a Young Person

Models for working with Young People

Child Centred Systemic Model encompassing a strengths approach

The importance of being outcome based

Day 2

Therapeutic Interventions for working with Young People

Play modalities - getting to know you Jenga and other board games

Strengths based approaches - resilience building, emotional regulations, strength cards, story cubes

Self esteem work

Cost £90 per person. Concessions available for students and trainees. CPD certificate will be issued for attendance.

To achieve OCN accreditation a £26 fee is payable and a short written piece.
