This Level 5 Children & Young People's Course has been specifically designed to meet the increasingly high demand to provide Counselling for Children & Young People in a wide range of settings.

There is a serious lack of provision in our Health Care System to support Children & Young people experiencing mental health difficulties.

This course will be offered as a specialist Post Qualifying Diploma to already qualified counsellors who have undertaken their diploma in adult counselling or play therapy.

This course will provide a wealth of highly relevant training to practitioners wishing to work with Children & Young People across a wide range of settings such as Primary Schools, Post Primary Schools, Community & Voluntary Sectors.

This course is designed to give students the knowledge, skills, tools & confidence to work therapeutically with Children & Young People aged 5-18 within a systemic & integrative framework.

This course will delve into early childhood development, attachment, relationships, working systemically, how to successfully use assessments with Children & Young People and much more. This is an exciting new and innovative course designed with Children & Young People at the heart of it.

Students will be expected to undertake placement of a minimum of 50 hours. These have already been secured

This course will be one weekend a month for 12 months and will be delivered by our qualified child therapists.


£200 to secure a place

And monthly instalments £140

Places will be allocated based on successful interview, production of previous qualifications and successful access N.I. checks.
